Here is a sample interview of a traveler arriving in the USA.US Customs: Do you have any dangerous items? explosives, nuclear bombs, biological weapons, anti-bush writings, drugs, a baby monkey from Cameroon, or cheese?
Traveler: Umm well, the sign at the airport when I left told be to take my bombs and knives back to my car so I don't have those with me. I do have a little cheese.
US Customs: How much cheese?
Traveler: I don't know about 8 kilos. [that would be a bit over 17-1/2 pounds]
US Customs: Ok, eat it.
Traveler: [Takes out cheese and has a small bite]
US Customs: No, EAT IT.
Traveler: [has another small bite]
US Customs: Ok, I am getting frustrated. Listen to my words carefully, please eat your cheese.
Traveler: Can I cut the cheese first? [and eats another small bite of his cheese]
US Customs: Sorry, but I need to get tough now. You have two choices: 1) I can take to prison for importing excessive amounts of cheese that could contain dangerous additives or 2) you can sit here and eat all your cheese right now.
This was inspired by a supposedly true story of a security guard requiring a person to drink an entire bottle of water to prove he want not attempting to take a dangerous item into a building.
