This morning August 10, 2007,The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile was ticketed and fined in Chicago, Illinois after parking illegally on Michigan Avenue (a no parking zone) with its hazard lights on. A police officer on the scene called a tow truck to tow the 27-foot sausage away from the scene. Fortunately, the driver and passenger returned to the giant hotdog in time to drive it away themselves. They were happy to pay the fine of $50 and apologized to the officers for the inconvenience. A Oscar Meyer representative insisted illegal parking is against Company policy "even when driving the 27-foot hotdog shaped vehicle."
Maybe the Oscar Mayer company needs to get officers to eat hot dogs and not donuts so maybe they'll get a little slack next time the big fiberglass dog is parked illegally. Either way, what they are eating is unhealthy which probably leads them to be not quite as fit as they could be. This would hamper them if they had to chase the mobile hot dog down to get a bite to eat!
