It is so sad knowing a wonderful lady like Irena Sendler passed away. She died at 98.Irena was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize but she already got lost.
During the World War II, Irena works as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist in the Warsaw Ghetto and there she knew as a German that Nazi have plans for the Jews. She smuggled 2,5000 infants from the Ghetto with her dogs help. She kept their names in a jar and buriied it under a tree in her back yard.
Unfortunately she got caught and got her arms and legs broke and beaten severly.
