Can Anyone Help Me Create A Forum on Facebook?

By Jamin Greensbury at 09/24/08 16:57

My friends and I have all gone our separate ways but we still like to keep in touch. First let me tell you the story of this article before I go any further. One day, some friends starting commenting on a picture on Facebook. This picture soon turned into a comment forum for everyone. The picture probably had well over 200 comments before we decided to move on to a different picture. Now that new picture has almost 50 comments.

What I'm asking is how can I make a regular forum on Facebook for my friends and I? I can't seem to find the right application out of the many that are there to use. The one I did find siad it was expired. What can I do?

Rival Games Bolstering Sales For Older Bands

By Jamin Greensbury at 09/23/08 18:10
Pretty mmuch everyone nowadays has at least heard of either Rock Band or Guitar Hero. But for those few who don't know, they are video games that let you play rock songs with a guitar controller. Anyway, these games are really dominating the music and game market if you think about it. For the game side, I would say 3 out of 5 people have one of the two games. The music side is a whole different story.

I read an article on CBSNews.com that told me the Whole Story about how these games have affected the whole story. As it stated in the article, Greg Lopiccolo, the vice president of Harmonix, said that they used to have to approach bands for the game. But now the bands are all wanting to get into the games. Which is awesome by the way because I'm a Classic Rocker, so the more classics, the better.

Also much of today's youth are discovering the older bands and the Golden Age that their music belonged in. If you ask me, the older bands played far better music than the stuff of today.

I'll Get Back to Force Choking After This

By Jamin Greensbury at 09/18/08 19:48
As some of you may know already, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed just came out this week. And since I have a Wii, this seemed like a must have game for it. This game has already lived past my expectations. You play as Darth Vader's secret apprentice and go destroy his enemies. Oh and you get to use the Wii-mote as a lightsaber. How fun is that?

I bought this game today and I haven't put it down yet. Except for about an hour and a half ago, in which I ate dinner then came to write this.

You know why this game is set apart from the billions of other Star Wars games? This game is actually an official part of the story. Think of it as Episode 3 and a 1/2.

I highly encourage anyone who has a Wii to go out and get this game.

Super Smashing Some Fraternities

By Jamin Greensbury at 09/16/08 21:08
College. Fraternities. The two words just go hand in hand. But how do frats attract newcomers? Simple. Do something that many people like to do. Destroy each other and laugh at their beaten friends. What am I talking about? The answer is simple as three little words: Super Smash Brothers.

For those of you who don't know, Super Smash Brothers is a Nintendo game that pits their most iconic characters against each other in an all out death match. And this is how one frat on my campus attracted me. They held a Super Smash tourney in the student center. Maybe about 30 people showed up and half of them signed up for more information.

I didn't play though and I didn't sign up. I just went and watched because my two friends were playing in it.

But that's one way to attract new inductees.

Pray Away the Gay

By Jamin Greensbury at 09/09/08 20:14
You probably just read the title of this post and asked yourself one of two questions; one wondering what could be in this article and the other wondering what kind of person would write this. Believe me, when I first saw the topic, I was a little baffled. Sarah Palin, the Republican candidate for VP, attends a church that specializes in converting gays into straight men and women. Can that be done and is that right?

The movement is called "Pray Away the Gay," hence the title. I can see how the church could encourage converting gays, since many churches are against the whole gay idea anyway. But this is the first I have ever heard of anything like this. I guess there is a first for everything.

But seeing how this is Sarah Palin's church, how will this affect her and McCain in the race? Only time will tell.

I Laugh in the Face of Those Who Drafted Tom Brady!

By Jamin Greensbury at 09/08/08 19:09
As you may or may not know, I started my own fantasy team. I have the second highest rating score so far in my league, and its only my first time around. Anyway, we need to talk about someone who has ruined many fantasy teams. Many people nation wide saw Tom Brady tear his ACL or whatever he did. Now Tom is out for the entire season. HA!

But on a lighter note, this most likely means no playoff run for the Patriots this year. Oh how sad. you haven't a clue how happy this makes me. I watched the play over and over on my TiVo and I laughed everytime. Go ahead and hate me.

Why Would They Do That?

By Jamin Greensbury at 09/04/08 22:09
If you haven't all noticed, John McCain's speech thing is on tonight. Sorry I can't remember the correct term. Anyway it will be playing at 10 o'clock... actually right now as I'm writing this. But that's not the problem.

The start of the NFL season was also on tonight. The game was supposedly going to start at 8 o'clock, but since McCain was on tonight they had to push it back an hour and a half. So guess what? I missed the first half of the game because I didn't know about this little change. But the half I did see, the Giant's defense was on fire, which is awesome for my fantasy team!

Speaking of McCain, did you all see his pick for Vice President? I don't have any problems with her, but didn't the Republicans constantly say how little experience Barack Obama had? Now they have no room whatsoever to talk.
