I read an interesting article today. Some senators are asking what the government has planned about oil in Alaska. It seems that they're waiting to put the polar bears on the endangered species list AFTER they drill and take all the oil from the polar bears' habitat. Basically that means that the government looks to make a quick buck before the bears get added to the list. Seems just like our government, trying to make money wihtout caring about others.See what will happen is that the drilling plans will go through. All the oil will be drawn from that area, but by when the deed is done, all the bears will be dead. Criticism will erupt all over and something epic and climatic will happen. But I've no idea what that thing would be. The bears will be gone and the governement will be in trouble. But I really don't think they care one bit, seeing how oil should be on the endangered species list. Tags: endangered species • government • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

What is the economy in the United States? It can easily be defined as people buying items they don't need. The U.S. seems to be in a rut right now, but I've heard some good news. The government is going to be sending checks to everyone to help stimulate the country. I can't be sure on this, but since I'm single and still a student, I'll be receiving a $600 check. Just hearing that makes me feel good. But I can see the government's plan. They'll take advantage of the economy's defination and have everyone buy big screen TVs. Too bad that they're not smart enough to only have consumers buy American made products. Everyone will jump on the Japanese electronics and help boost Japan's economy instead of ours. Too bad all the cool stuff comes from the Far East. The most likely thing to happen though, is that gas prices will shoot through the roof and force us to use the checks for gas money. We'll only have "free" gas for about a month because the prices will be so high. Why do I have to live in the middle of nowhere and be forced to drive just to get anywhere? I will say this right now, the cartoons of today cannot even hold a candle to the cartoons of the ages gone by. You look at the ideas that come out nowadays, and you realize its the stupidest piece of crap you've ever seen. Take the 80's for example. How many of the coolest cartoons came out back then? I can think of three off the top of my head; Voltron, Thundercats and Transformers. You could have only had those three, basically because they were the best.Take Voltron for example. This show was almost the basis for the Power Rangers series (which is not a cartoon for those of you who are ill informed). Five lion robots forming into one giant warrior robot? What's better than that?!? I watched the show whenever I could when I was younger. It was my hour of happy time when Thundercats and Voltron aired back to back. Where did all the action adventure go in today's world of cartoons? Tags: cartoons • voltron • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Well, to sum things up right away, this is what happened to me this weekend. I was hit in the groin, stretched on a rack, vegetated, saw a chick flick, and then went out to breakfast. Sounds crazy huh? Well, to elaborate on the hit in the groin part, my friend Chuck hit me there with precise accuracy with a snowball. I was just innocently sitting eating the snow. That's when we went sled riding. The next day, my friends and I went sled riding again, but at a different, better place. So when I said I was stretched on a rack, it was basically the next closest thing. We all made a chain of sleds going down the hill. To bad I was in the middle and the weight wasn't evenly distributed. So on my left I had all the lighter people, while on the right, you guessed it, the heavy ones. So going full speed down the hill, I was stretched between the two. The heavy side lagged behind and the light side flew with light speed. So there I am grasping for life trying to pull the two sides together. Not a good idea. I am VERY sore. Saturday I didn't do much of anything. On Sunday, my girlfriend and I went to see the movie "Juno". It was okay but what we came to a conclusion about the movie. It was a chick flick in disguise! The next morning, I went to breakfast and had a huge waffle. The End Tags: weekend plans • torture • sled riding • food • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Well, as you can see, there's only 4 teams left in the NFL playoffs. If there are those of you who don't know, the teams are; the Giants, Packers, Chargers and Patriots. Seeing how the Patriots are heavily favored to win the whole thing, I can't help but root against them. I want to see the Chargers play the Packers, if you ask me. But what I want to see more are the halftime show and the infamous commercials. Many people watch the Super Bowl just to see what crazy commercials were concocted this year. Most are downright hilarious, and others leave a lasting impression on you. Either way, they're worth watching. Plus Tom Petty is playing the Super Bowl Halftime Show this year, so how much better can it get? Maybe if the Patriots don't make it, or even end up losing in the game. There has been one thought going through my mind today, and I don't know whether its good or bad. You see, I was somehow chosen to represent the senior guys in a dance-off at our annual Winter Sports Rally. Other people knew I was doing this, but somehow I didn't. Now I have a month to prepare for a possible 4 different dance routines. What am I to do?Well, I could dress as the character Borat for one of them and do some disco dancing. Another I could show off a kilt and do some river dancing. I still have one more idea up my sleeve. Go for the 80's hair band costume and play some air guitar to some song. But for the fourth? I could play along to one of the best songs ever. Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" could be my final act. But will I get that far? Seems it doesn't matter for its still a month away. Plus a suck at dancing, why would I get chosen? Tags: high school • dance routines • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Here's my first post for the entire year of 2008. Now that 2007 is gone, its time to set our sights on new and upcoming things. What about resolutions? I have two that I know of. The first is to start running/jogging more often. I'm in good shape, but not that great of shape. The second is promising not to steal the Wal-Mart power scooters anymore. Even though they are fun, I had better stop that habit. Anyway, other people need them. But no one said anything about the ones at K-Mart. Those scooters go about 10 mph faster. Isn't that exciting? But now let's reflect on Christmas 2007. I received what I wanted for Christmas. Guitar Hero 3 was the only thing I had asked for. But the game makes me sad. I can't use the stupid orange key because my fingers are retarded. Oh well. But let me be the one of the last people to tell you, Happy New Year!
