Just had to show this

By Jamin Greensbury at 04/25/08 17:29
If you're familiar with the band DragonForce, this will be something you would be interested in. I searched Dragonforce on Youtube and this was one of the videos I stumbled upon. Watch it and see that DragonForce music isn't limited to just insane guitar playing.

Using the Movie-Maker for School

By Jamin Greensbury at 04/25/08 16:29
I have been relieved by the news I have heard. Instead of taking a pencil and paper final exam in my Calculus class (which would have killed me) I get to make a movie. The only catch is that it has to have Calculus terms in the movie. But that won't be that hard.

We'll be using the Movie Maker program that comes with the newer systems of Windows. I watched someone use it and it doesn't seem that hard to pick up on. Even though there are better programs out there, it seems that this one is better for computer-illiterate people like me. All I know is how to post blogs like this one.

For those of us too cheap for World of Warcraft

By Jamin Greensbury at 04/18/08 15:23
I'm surprised I haven't written about this before. Do you know anyone who raves about how great World of Warcraft (or WOW for short) is? Wanted to try it but don't have the money, time or effort? That was my case, but I still wanted to play a game like it. What I found was Battleon.com. Its an online game that is along the lines of WOW. The only drawback is that you don't get to interact with other players and the whole game is 2-D. Besides that, its much quicker to get a hold of than WOW is.

If you're going to try it first, play on the free server only. It may take you a few tries to get in (the server holds only so many people.) If you like it and want to play it a lot more, I highly recommend you pay the Guardian fee. Its a one time payment of $20 or $25. That lets you get in whenever you want and you can get cooler stuff.

The best part is, you can play this over your lunch break. Log in, battle a monster, then log out. You just spent maybe 5 minutes doing that. Its quick and simple. There's so much to do as well. Right now I'm a Level 54 Guardian and I haven't even touched 85% of the quests. This game could be worth it if you're someone like me.
