My one wish this winter has slowly begun. After school let out today, a snow ball fight ensued in the student parking lot. As soon as I came out of the building, I rushed to my car to take cover. That's when it all began. Getting my gloves on, I pelted foe after foe with the pristine white balls with splotches of brown in them. No one could hit me, I have cat like reflexes. Until two people decided to leave. Two of my friends, CJ and Burt ran to Burt's car to make a fast getaway. I couldn't let that happen. So running briskly yet carefully through the snow, I tailed the car. The window on CJ's side was open for some stange reason. So I threw a snowball at the opening, and it went right through (I was amazed at myself). It was then that they drove over to my car. But by that time I had fled clear across the parking lot. My other two friends, Rick and Mack, were standing by the car. I yelled get into the car, but they just don't listen. So I watched Burt put about a pound of snow in my driver's seat and then saw Rick laughing and pointing at me. It was then that my second chance arose. I ran to my car and told Rick and Mack to get in. Rick listens, but Mack doesn't. As Burt and CJ drove away, I saw that CJ's window was still open. My second snowball went through and smacked CJ in the shoulder, maybe the face. I run into my car, Rick's in but Mack isn't. Mack is about to get in when CJ opens the back door of my car and slams a snowball right into my eye. Now I believe I'm going to develop a black eye. What's the moral here? When someone says get in the car, don't act dumb and meander outside the car, especially if that person is taking you home. Tags: snow • high school • wounds • 0 Comments. - Permalink |

Let's start off with this. There is a thing in this world known as the dreaded Senior Research Paper. In case you don't know, you must support a thesis of your own design within the paper. I completed my rough draft, but for others, it didn't go so well. For instance, there was one student in my class. His name was Donald Humford, and he loved trying to be funny. Many things he just tried to spat out in class, but many of those things weren't funny at all. They were just stupid, just something that wasted more time. We all know people like that, don't we?Anyway, Don didn't realize that for the Research Paper, he actually had to crack down and be serious. You must take the entire project seriously or else you risk the chance of not graduating high school. Don still wanted to make people laugh. He ranted on about God knows what in his paper. It nowhere near supported any part of his thesis. So when he got it back from our teacher, bad things began to happen. Our teacher told him straight up about how much he screwed up the project. She then simply told him he may not grduate if he didn't take it seriously, which is the point of the entire project. You need an interview within your paper, so he thought it would be funny to interview his mom. Bad choice. Our teacher told him that you can't do that and that he should have known not to do that. So Don begins to throw a bit of a temper tantrum. No one person in the class knew what Don was doing until he started banging on the desk. We all thought he was going on with his stupid antics once again. But when he ripped up his paper, every soul knew what was up. By that point, we were all just snickering at him. He knew he had to be more serious, but he took the wrong road. Now Don is going on about how much he hates our teacher. That just makes it even more funny when he doesn't graduate. I think we all knew he was going to screw up badly. He didn't even take the time to do research with the time alloted to us during class. So take my advice, take the important things in your life with the most serious approach you can. Tags: senior research paper • high school • failing • 1 Comments. - Permalink |
