The headline on google news screams... "FedEx 3Q Net Down 75%; To Cut More Jobs, Sees 4Q Below Views". I might have written the headline, American's get a clue... FedEx out of business shortly!
It seems that FedEx has been trying to program us with the concept that everything has to be there tomorrow... that it's more important to pay $50 for a document to be overnighted than 50 cents and wait a couple days for the post office. It has created a very large business based on our impatience.
Now with the economy suffering and people looking at their expenditures... I would say FedExing documents would be about at the very top of the list of things to cut. Hopefully, it will help everyone relax life a bit more and enjoy things at a more leisurely pace.
The demise of FedEx may well be one of the biggest causes of stress relief we can find... and we'll save a lot of money too!
