I read an interesting article today. Some senators are asking what the government has planned about oil in Alaska. It seems that they're waiting to put the polar bears on the endangered species list AFTER they drill and take all the oil from the polar bears' habitat. Basically that means that the government looks to make a quick buck before the bears get added to the list. Seems just like our government, trying to make money wihtout caring about others.

See what will happen is that the drilling plans will go through. All the oil will be drawn from that area, but by when the deed is done, all the bears will be dead. Criticism will erupt all over and something epic and climatic will happen. But I've no idea what that thing would be. The bears will be gone and the governement will be in trouble. But I really don't think they care one bit, seeing how oil should be on the endangered species list.
