What is the economy in the United States? It can easily be defined as people buying items they don't need. The U.S. seems to be in a rut right now, but I've heard some good news. The government is going to be sending checks to everyone to help stimulate the country. I can't be sure on this, but since I'm single and still a student, I'll be receiving a $600 check. Just hearing that makes me feel good. But I can see the government's plan. They'll take advantage of the economy's defination and have everyone buy big screen TVs. Too bad that they're not smart enough to only have consumers buy American made products. Everyone will jump on the Japanese electronics and help boost Japan's economy instead of ours. Too bad all the cool stuff comes from the Far East.
The most likely thing to happen though, is that gas prices will shoot through the roof and force us to use the checks for gas money. We'll only have "free" gas for about a month because the prices will be so high. Why do I have to live in the middle of nowhere and be forced to drive just to get anywhere?
