What comes to your mind when you think of deep fried foods? Chicken wings and french fries are what come to mine. But at the State Fair of Texas, nothing is safe from the deep fryer. That's because the Big Tex Choice Awards recognize the best food at the state fair. This year many varieties of foods were dropped into the fryer. Foods such as a deep fried latte and even fried guacamole bites. How can you fry a latte you ask? Well its actually more of a dessert with a fried pastry and ice cream with many toppings.
What else could be used in the fryer at this fair? There are many things like burritos, peach cobblers, potato pie, and sometimes even pudding. The possibilities are endless when the Big Tex Choice Awards are at stake.
