Ever catch yourself flicking through the channels and finding a B-rate movie? Then you stop to watch it and find yourself laughing even though the movie is serious? I have to apologize to the SciFi channel, but that's what their 'original movies' do to me. I'm laughing as some person is gored to death.Its not my fault that most of these movies employ a cheap monster to be the enemy. Some creature that looks like poor 3D graphics isn't going to scare me. I can't remember which one I was watching a while ago, but the creature just made me laugh. It was supposed to be the minotaur or something and its appearance made me chuckle.
Even the actors are poorly picked. No offense to them, but you can't have some supermodel playing the gas attendant. It just doesn't work that way. Also, the movies have no character development. The main hero is always the one who is most equipped for the job. For example, you'll have the former Navy SEAL fighting against the monster in the lake. And that's how it is in every movie.
So next time you want to laugh at some B-rate movie, look to the SciFi channel's movies.
