Sure, Let's Blame It On The Pigeons

The collapse of the Minneapolis bridge on August 1 was a terrible tragedy indeed. But now experts are saying it was pigeon dung that was the main cause of the collapse. I can see what you're saying. That much bird crap was on the bridge?!? No...but experts are saying that it was the poop that caused the steel beams to rust. Now the people there are trying to get rid of their pigeon problem.

Why can't the experts jsut come out and say the contractors built a crappy bridge? That particular bridge was failing structural tests for a long time now. But let's not get them in trouble though, we can let them blame it on the birds.
