Why Can't There Be One That Just Plays Both?!?

There's trouble brewing for this holiday season. Let's say your son or daughter wants this particular movie. Well if you don't have the right player, then too bad for you. The ongoing struggle between Blu Ray and HD DVD is coming to your door now. There is a prime example for the upcoming holidays. Your kid wants the Shrek and Spiderman movies for Christmas. Since the movies are each for different platforms, then you're sort of in trouble. Shrek will be exclusively for Blu Ray, while Spiderman is for HD DVD.

The only thing I can hope for is a device that plays both Blu Ray and HD DVD. If any company makes such a player, their sales will go through the roof. Let's just hope something like that will happen.
